Reponer aceite a mi K-75

Hola gracias en primer lugar por los consejos sobre la cadena de distribucion del otro dia.
Ahora me ocurre que como hace solo dias que me compre la moto, se que lleva castrol pero no si es 5-50 o 20-50 y estoy de viaje y tengo que repostarle algo segun e visto el visor del nivel y su antiguo propietario no se acuerda ni apunto si en este caso le pusieron uno u otro, por lo menos hasta que pueda llegar de retorno y ya cuando le haga el proximo cambio le pongo el filtro y yo mismo estare pendiente. Gracias

A mí me ponían Castrol 20-50, y se ve que le gustó mucho porque se lo bebía..... : :

Pero con cual puedo ajustarle el nivel hasta que llegue a mi ciudad de regreso, con cualquier 20-50? es un desavio ahora mismo. Gracias.

En caso de emergencia pon cualquier aceite 20/50 (mas vale k haya aceite k no haya)

Y luego mas a adelante le cambias todo el aceite y le pones un 20/50.

Yo le pongo el repsol super 20/50.Me va bien. Me cuesta la garrafa de 5l, 15 euros en el carrefour.

El Castrol que yo usaba era mineral y su color, rojo vino.

De todas formas, como ya te han dicho, ante un apuro echa el que sea, y cuando vuelvas, cambio de aceite y filtro

Lo más importante es que sea de la misma característica en lo referente a mineral o sintético del que llevas.

No afecta tanto su gama SAE como su calidad (marcada segun denominación API.

Yo le pongo motul 15-50 / SJ
Y efectivamente pon aceite sea el que sea SAE, muy malo ir con poco o falta de aceite.

Oye Diayu, ¿lo dices en serio?.

Yo le pongo también Castrol a mi K100 y la muy maricona se lo merienda que da gusto. Claro que igual tiene ya sus achaques, aun que a mi me da la sensación de que el motor tira de muerte y está pletorico de fuerza.

¿Hay algún aceite más recomendado que otro para cuando el consumo de aceite empieza a umentar?

Tu moto debe llevar Castrol GP 20-50, pero vamos que cualquier 20-50 te sirve para rellenar. No puede ser api SJ, según BMW

Lo que dice BMW es esto:

Subject: SJ Engine Oil - Not Approved
Specification: BMW provides specific recommendations for fuel and lubricants in the Service and Technical Booklet for each model motorcycle, or in the Rider's Manual on older model motorcycles. These recommendations are based on specific knowledge of the engine requirements and thorough endurance testing.

Recommendation:
The current recommendation is as follows:
Brandname HD oil, API classification SF, SG or SH; CD or CE suffixes are permissible; alternatively, brandname HD oil. CCMC classification G4 or G5; suffix PD2 is permissible.

Not Approved:
The API specification SJ is not approved for use in any BMW motorcycle. This latest API classification does not guaranty the required levels of wear protective additives such as Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, etc. as with most prior API specifications.

Customer Interaction:
We suggest that you council with your customers egarding the oils being used in their motorcycle. Most oils found in

Siempre entendí que el SJ es mas actualizado y mejor que las letras anteriores !

Lo cierto es que en el manual dice SE, SF y SG ... pero claro, es que aún no habian salido ni el SH ni el SJ !
¿¿Alguien puede traducir el porqué dice que no al SJ ???

Literalmente dice que la especificación SJ no garantiza los niveles requeridos de Calcio, Magnesio, Zinc, etc, como las especificaciones anteriores. Lo dice BMW, en este caso BMW USA, creo.

Hola, me vais a permitir que rescate este post que en encontrado tras buscar pro el foro.

Yo estoy ultimamente como muy "sensible" al tema de la clasificación API.

El boletin de BME del que se han extraido en este post unos extractos es de 1998 y va dirigido a sus concesionarios. Literalmente indica a sus comerciales:

Customer
Interaction: We suggest that you council with your customers regarding the oils being used in their motorcycle. Most oils found in commercial discount and automotive supply stores are now API SJ classification, which means that they should not be used. Use this opportunity to create in store displays and promote the full range of approved BMW motorcycle lubricants.

que aprovechen para hacer imagen de marca y promocionen lubricantes BMW.

Y dicho esto también decir que he perdido tiempo buscando por google si las clasificaciones API posteriores indican características de aceite superiores a un API anterior. Esto querría decir que si para tu moto te dice el fabricamte API SG, pues si le ponen un SJ o SL mejor que mejor.

A esta pregunta no he sacado de la red una respuesta clara.

A ver esos técnicos del foro qué son capaces de aportar.
